NMBAQC Standard Operating Procedure: PSA for Supporting Biological Analysis

Work on a UK wide Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for 'PSA for Supporting Biological Analysis' began in 2008 and is due to be published in June 2011.

To date an initial assessment of current PSA methods used by UK labs has been undertaken through questionnaires sent out to NMBAQC Particle Size participating laboratories in June, 2008.  Following this a workshop was held at Cefas, Lowestoft in February 2009 for the NMBAQC Particle Size participating laboratories to discuss 'best practice' methods which should be included in a UK wide SOP.  The Proceedings and supporting documents from this workshop are now available on the PSA Workshops page. 

Comments on the draft SOP were discussed at the end of September 2010 this work is now being finalised and will be available soon.  For further information about this work, please contact Claire Mason.
